I popped round to the skatepark after college this evening. It was a great opportunity to test the A7s’ lowlight capability. The guys were still working on it, having poured concrete this morning, they were waiting for it to go off. They are all sound and let me in to take a few photos. Cheers guys!

So, week 9, almost in double figures and they’ve started pouring concrete into the bowl. It was so nice to stand up on the deck looking into it. It almost felt like I could drop in. It’s much bigger and scarier than Eaton Bray bowl. I can’t wait to carve around that deep end!

Dunstable Skate park Week 9-6 Dunstable Skate park Week 9-1 Dunstable Skate park Week 9-2 Dunstable Skate park Week 9-3 Dunstable Skate park Week 9-4A lot of the decking round the top end is done. Dat hip doe. Literally can’t wait to boost over it!

Dunstable Skate park Week 9-5Moving away from the bowl, they’re slowly working on other bits too. The stairset is coming together more now. They’ve poured the flatbank down the side.

Dunstable Skate park Week 9-11It looks much bigger than I thought it was going to be. You kind of get an idea of what it’ll be like rolling upto it.

Dunstable Skate park Week 9-7There’s also lots of other small things starting to appear. The pole jam is set in, although I didn’t get a photo of that. The coping for the smaller stairset is in place.

Dunstable Skate park Week 9-8The quarters along the street section are starting to take shape too.

Dunstable Skate park Week 9-9There’s also a curved rail waiting to go in somewhere, although I can’t see it in the plans that I have here. It might be the coping for the curved grind box actually.

Dunstable Skate park Week 9-10It’s getting so exciting seeing the interesting bits take shape. February can’t come soon enough. Roll on the new year!
